multi-river adventure

The Bow Valley Kayak Club's 2021 multi river adventure week.
Five Day course for intermediate paddlers

Timings will vary depending on location. The coach can pick up and drop off participants that live local if there is a requirement.

Many options for venues. Here are some: Red deer, elbow, kicking horse, Kananaskis, sheep.
Hoping to camp out by the side of the Red Deer for a night.

This course will be all about discovering new rivers and taking steps into the exploration side of kayaking. Working on planning and executing fun days on new rivers. This will mean learning a new side of the sport. knowing when to get out and scout, knowing how to make contingencies, escape routes, what equipment we need, how we look after each other and ourselves, how to store equipment, how to stay dry and comfortable, how to take into account environmental concerns, and how to truly enjoy a safe, adrenaline fueled day.

locations will be confirmed nearer the time. Ideally there will be an overnight trip on this course.

EQUIPMENT: you will need some equipment. camping things, a change of clothes, food, cookware, throw bag, hydration etc..

A lot of this depends on water levels and the group participants schedule for that week.
